April 6, 2004 - North of Ft. Worth, Texas

It was a great ride last night before the storms rolled in. I checked the radar before heading out and they were slow enough so that I could get about an hour in - cruise around Eagle Mountain Lake and roll through some hills... Everything was fine until I got an alert on my phone... tornado warning! (I can also check the radar on my phone too...)

Seems one of the thunderstorms developed an attitude. On the way back to the house, I stopped along the side of the road to take a picture - you can see the tornado forming.

Fortunately it did not get too serious and I made it home with only a few drops of rain to wipe off. Others in the area were treated to 1/4" to 1/2" hail and some very strong winds.
